She has also provided comprehensive nursing care on psychiatric units by conducting mental health assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, person-centered treatment.
Rhonda’s skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care effectively address acute psychiatric and mental health conditions with compassion. Her culturally sensitive approach connects clients with valuable resources, recognizing the unique factors influencing mental health, and empowering them by validating their identities and experiences. Through her holistic approach, Rhonda bridges gaps between mental health services and community needs, creating an equitable, supportive environment.
Rhonda’s counseling approach is primarily Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). This approach emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, enabling clients to explore and resolve their problematic behaviors, emotions, and maladaptive thinking patterns. In addition to PCT, Rhonda can employ integrative strategies that address the spiritual, emotional, and psychological facets of well-being. By incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) Trauma Therapy, and Couples Therapy, she aims to provide comprehensive support tailored to each client’s unique needs. Rhonda works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, women’s issues, trauma, relationship issues, and more.
