Private Pay Rates vary from provider to provider. Please ask your Counselor about their Private Pay rates BEFORE your appointment.
Insurance
Most of our providers accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, and some accept Cigna, Tricare, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Magellan insurance. You are responsible for your copay, co-insurance, and/or any deductible payment at the time of service. We will file with your insurance company, and they will reimburse Hidden Stream directly for services. Clients without insurance may also be seen on a “private pay” basis.
If you are on a different insurance plan, you may be eligible to receive out-of-network benefits. It is your responsibility to determine if your insurance plan provides mental health benefits. You may want to ask the following questions:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? If so, what are they?
- What is my deductible? Has it been met for this plan year?
- Is there a maximum number of sessions permitted?
- Do I need prior authorization?
Hidden Stream will provide you with appropriate documentation to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will be responsible for the full fee at the time of your session, unless we have made prior accommodations.
Reduced Fee/Sliding Scale
Our therapists do not want the cost of services to prevent you from getting the care you need. Therefore, reduced fees may be considered on a client-by-client basis. Please discuss with your therapist your financial concerns at the onset of services.
Payment
Hidden Stream accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, as well as cash payments.
Cancellation and No-Show Fee
If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please cancel or reschedule your appointment 24-hours prior to your scheduled session. If you miss an appointment or cancel less than 24 hours prior to your appointment, you may be charged a late cancellation or no-show fee. You will need to pay your No-Show Fee before scheduling your next appointment. If you miss more than three scheduled appointments, you may be terminated and provided with a list of referrals to other counselors.
